REVIEW: REVLON COLORSTAY FOUNDATION- Cappuccino
Written by Anu
If you have been following all my posts, you would know that I love anything made by Sleek. Honestly, they get the formula right for people with chocolate/cocoa to really dark skin. But after watching so many Youtube Videos, I felt it was the right time to up my game and join the ‘trend wagon’ because there are not too many makeup artistes on there who use Sleek products.
Not wanting to break the bank immediately I decided to try out the Revlon Colorstay Foundation and this is what I feel (sit tight….its going to be a bumpy ride).
THINGS I HATE
- There are not too many shades for my skin tone, it was either I was in the shade Cappuccino or Caramel. One was a bit too dark and the other was a bit too light, I settled for Cappuccino.
- The bottle had no pump or means to pour the content out which can make it really messy or end up using too much product.
- On first application, it blends well with the skin but over the course of the day let’s just say I looked like an umpa lumba from Charlie and the chocolate factory.
- It made me break out!! It made me break out!! It made me break out!! (enough said)
THINGS I LOVE
I have just one nice thing to say, it gives an amazing matte finish. If your skin isn’t prone to oiling out, this is the product for you as you don’t need a primer or matifier.
Its safe to say I threw out the bottle before I even got halfway….Any thing that makes me break out is a NO!NO!
DISCLAIMER: Different strokes for different folks, if you are willing to give it a shot,go ahead. This is just my personal experience with the product.
I know a couple of people who can swear by it. Ultimately, find what works for you.
BTW am back to my Sleek, tried and Tested OK.
Love,Anu….xx

Really? Hmm. I’m looking to try a new foundation and would have thought Revlon would be a good place to check, on account of their Colorstay Lip Balms.

Yeah I thought so too, but I know a couple of people who really do swear by it. You can try it, it just might be the perfect fit
