DIY: Turban With African Fabric
I’ve had on my kinky braids since Christmas **sigh** ….it’s sad abi?? I know….but it’s still nice just that my front hair is slowly becoming extinct!!!looool!!
…so I cut one of my Ankara maxi skirts and I decided to use the bottom part for a turban
The turban look has been around for a while now but I still don’t see Nigerian people do it as often 🙁
Wanna try it out?…it’s totally easy!!!
When doing this it’s preferable to use a large scarf or better yet just buy fabric from the market ( one and a half yards is enough )
HOW TO:
STEP 1
You can leave your hair down but if you want to, plait it and fold it in.
tip: to add more volume, tie a scarf before tying the turban especially if you’re on gorimapa (shaved hair) and also to avoid the scarf from slipping off
STEP 2
Place the scarf at the back of head and make sure the two ends are equal
STEP 3
Tie a knot in front and make sure its tight
STEP 4
Twist……
STEP 5
Start rolling it into the shape you want and tuck the ends in
VOILA!!!ur done 😀
…..i tried tying it another way
