The Doll Evolves! Barbie now comes in different skin tones and body types

Looks like Barbie is pushing the beauty envelope once again! Barbie Mattel has just unveiled their newest line of dolls that finally represent almost every figure portrayed in real life!

Barbie has came a long way! Most can only remember when she was just a blonde-haired skinny figure that came in one skin tone but now these new Barbies come in a variety of skin-tones and we now can call Barbie miss thick-ems! Yass hunty!

According to Good Morning America, Mattel has been revamping the image of Barbie to fit the look of almost every woman in society since 2015 when the brand added 23 dolls with a variation of skin tones and hair colors!

“We believe we have a responsibility to girls and parents to reflect a broader view of beauty,” Evelyn Mazzocco, senior vice president and global general manager of Mattel said in a statement.

The newest edition Barbies came in seven skin tones, 22-eye colors and 24 hair-styles. To be clear, the shapes and sizes of these dolls are in-fact curvy, tall and petite as noted on the official site of Barbie. Even the classic (original) Barbie doll is still available most likely forever! This new group of dolls are known as the “Fashionistas” and will be available online and in-stores this Spring, but can be pre-ordered at Barbie.com
