Favourite Beauty Products -August Edition

Yeah yeah… I know the year is already over but it brings so much joy to my heart to know Christmas is just a couple of months away! I woke up singing Christmas songs two days ago #cantwait 😀

Here are my personal favourite items to take into the ‘ember months’

VASELINE (AKA PETROLEUM JELLY)

You can never go wrong with Vaseline, keeps your skin shiny and hydrated in this harsh weather plus its one of my mum’s personal favorites as well (if you tell her you have a headache she tells you to go rub Vaseline on it). Its one of those things you can use from H2T (head to toe)

AVON CLEARSKIN BLEMISH CLEARING WASH

Personally I am not a fan of using a bunch of products on my face but this and the next item had me from the get go, its mild on the skin and it leaves your face feeling very fresh, it has a slight menthol feel and I use it after washing off my makeup with soap.

SEBAMED FACE AND BODY WASH

When my face decided to go through late puberty as I like to call it, this really helped me through that rough patch (I mean that literally).It helped to clear out my skin, ofcourse I had to go on a no-makeup fast as well. I alternate between this product and the one above (morning and night).

SUGAR AND HONEY/LIME SCRUB

After all is said and done, I still fall back to my good ol’ sugar and honey from Mopa (proud Kogi girl) or Lime from any fruit seller around. Mix them together in no particular ratio (am an engineer but I don’t need to measure all the time), gently massage it into the skin and leave it on for a few minutes. It is a great way to exfoliate your skin and get off all the dead cells from too much makeup.

EOS LIPBALM

When I first saw this, I exclaimed! Lipbalm for N1500 (bet why?) what happened to Vaseline or N100 chapstick? Oh well,I bought it anyways and I kept buying it since. It comes in different flavours and in the most unique shape.Trust me, bring it out in public and everyone will want to be your friend lol. It keeps your lips moisturised and feeling soft and supple all day.
