Review: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark + Dupe

I have been using Mac’s studio fix powder for years and it has been the perfect powder for me but I decided to try out the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark. I’ve been using it for a couple of months( well, not every day) so I believe I’m in a better place to do a review now.IMG_8227 copy

The powder comes in a baked form (meaning it will last you forever!) and available in 8 shades, It’s a low coverage powder so it’s the best if you don’t have a lot of imperfections to cover.

I use this powder on days I don’t want to wear a foundation and Il love how it adds a nice glow to my skin, its matte but not dry and it really brightens up my skin. The only bad thing I noticed is towards the end of the day, you will need to retouch-that I hate because I don’t carry makeup to work with me

When I use it to set my foundation on the other hand, it oxidizes and my face ends up looking orange by the end of the day-maybe the black up full coverage foundation and this powder don’t mix – to avoid this I Apply with a light hand ,I avoid packing it on-but then I’ll still need to reapply

It’s a decent powder, am I crazy about it? maybe not- the Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Powder powered is a better option and its even a fraction of the price-I use the Maybelline on days I feel like taking a break from foundation ,the one I have is a dark shade but I love it still.

Price N8000 – Got it from Ikeja City Mall
