But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you- John 14:26
Hey luvies
..I’m still tryna master this phone bloggin’ parole! It can be frustrating mehn!
So I’ve been dying to get one of these ankara bangles for a while buh I couldn’t find anyone who made unique pieces so I decided to recycle my old square bangles
What I used;
The Ankara Fabric
The Square Bangle
Scissors
Mod Podge Glue
A brush
I measured the amount of fabric I was gonna use
So glued on the first layer if fabric….I didn’t want to risk it looking flat and transparent
Then I applied the glue on top on the fabric
Placed the main fabric on and folded it on the inside…
Left it to dry overnight and covered the mess with another fabric
I used my hair dryer to make the drying process faster (low heat)
Whoop!! Its not too perfect but I made it!
So I hope this is helpful….and if you don’t want to go through the wahala of making yours, follow @AyoNaledi she’s based in Nigeria she can hook you up and if you’re ‘overseas’ shop here big Cartel

Loving the geometric Ankara print bangles, sadly I am not DIY material. The closest I get to DIY is pinning vintage brooches to various garments but this post makes me wish I was more DIY inclined…
lool…..u can start studding old shirts too….there’s always a beginning
Hmm nice job here…………helpful Thank you!!!
happy i could be of help
very nice! like the blue on the inside. But i know another techniqu my frnd taught me! hope am able to explain. You fold the ankara stip horizontally with smooth edges then you wrap it round the bangle and glue it at the end! sigh i hope you get it but that way is really nice and the work is neater with less use of glue and it lasts!
Hey!
Its totally great this diy blogs! I actually learned most of my crafts thru d blogs (so many online) yes any glue would do. I use a glue gun with those candle like glue sticks. I did however use another method for wrapping square bangles. I forgot what I did last year and had to improvise dis year and its cool I think! What I did was cover the sharp corners first before wrapping! Check out my fb fanpage too! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ankara-DEdiye/445253758830998
I love this
